    Database engineers in Database Administrator/DevOps role with AWS skills preferred. Would need to be involved in Technical POCs, setting up Oracle & Cassandra/mongoDB database clusters on-prem and cloud both, good to have experience on RDBMS (Aurora PostGres) and AWS noSQL (DynamoDB, DocumentDB technologies), must be well verse with Oracle and noSQL technologies/databases (Cassandra/mongoDB)... AWS working knowledge is good to have including Aurora postgres (RDS/EC2/EBS/CloudFormation/Route53 etc) else need to ramp up in 2-3 weeks to take up tasks/responsibilities.
    
     
    
    Note: Candidate is expected to have AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification or else get certified within 3 weeks after joining.
    
    Database Admin/DevOps experience in:
    - Oracle 12c
    - NoSQL Database - MongoDB, Cassandra, Couchbase
    
    Skill in Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) / Certified
    
    ·        -  Set up, operate, and scale a relational database in the cloud
    
    CloudFormation template and automation for database operations
    
    ·        -  Aurora PostGres is plus
    
    ·        -  Amazon DynamoDB knowledge is nice to have (not priority for now)

    Qualifications

    Major knowledge and skills required:
    - Database management, designing, implementing, and maintaining the database system
    - Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain a database system.
    - Evaluate data analysis models and procedures
    - Implement, configure, and troubleshoot database instances, replication, backup, partitions, storage, and access.
    - Understanding of disaster recovery and database backup procedures
    - Understanding of data import/ export procedures
    - Advanced knowledge of database structure, database security issues
    - Set user privileges within the database environment.
    - Provide end-to-end technical support and problem resolution
    - Monitor, optimize and allocate physical data storage for database systems
    - Monitor and optimize system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, and other methods.
    
    Data replication across data centers
    Automation through shell scripts/python to automate DB setup, day-to-day operations
    
    Initial location would be Sunnyvale for initial ramp up for few months. Candidate should be open to relocate to Austin after that.
