    Our client’s Regulatory Operations and Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) teams seek a business process improvement expert to document future state and gain buy-in from key stakeholders within Corporate Functions, across nine (9) Business Units (BUs), and three (3) Regions. The compliance process improvement work is associated with two (2) major types of regulations:

    Domain experience within these two areas is optional, but preferred.
    • Global Unique Device Identification (UDI) and
    • Chemicals/Hazardous Substance Compliance

    As our client digitalizes ways of working in the two areas above, current processes that are underpinned by excel, SharePoint, and email will be transitioned to a Product Information Management (PIM) system. The process improvement leader that will help our client in the following ways:

    • Document As-Is and To-Be visual swim lane process maps that allow each stakeholder to understand their responsibilities, inputs, outputs, and time/performance requirements
    • Facilitate a series of meetings with the BUs and Regional Process Performers to understand current pain points, fragmented processes, and inefficiencies and output a recommendations report for improving Global UDI and Chemicals Compliance processes utilizing PIM
    • Develop a clear accountability model for operating the new processes, and present it to Steering Committee leaders to gain alignment and feedback




    • Support with gaining approval from Functional VPs for assigning a responsible person to own that function’s role

    In addition to defining future state business processes and driving alignment to these new ways of working, the process improvement consultant shall evaluate how scalable the new processes are and identify which steps in the processes most frequently create delays and errors.

    To be successful within the role the candidate will be experienced in:

    Business Process Excellence and CI: Must be knowledgeable in business process analysis and assessment and continuous improvement methodology understanding how to use data to drive decision making. Capable of understanding which tools to use in typical business situation.

    Facilitation: Must be able to facilitate difficult working sessions with all levels of organization and handle positive and negative feedback and inputs appropriately.

    Analytical Skills: Must understand how to perform data analytics and how to use data to drive decision making. Utilize multiple tools and methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Process Optimization, etc.) to analyze data and processes as a key driver of performance opportunities

    Executive Communication Skills: Proven ability to communicate key messages to senior leadership audiences and effectively manage key stakeholders

    Project Management: Must be knowledgeable in project management and understand the project planning process. Capable of identifying when a project is at risk and able to facilitate and lead the team to resolve issues and re-plan as needed to get the project back on track.





    Education & Desired Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study
    • Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt or Lean Management Certification
    • Process knowledge of EHS function, Supply Chain Operations, Sales and Operations
    • Planning, Quality, and Order Management
