    Candidate Responsibilities The candidate's duties will include supporting high voltage connector and conductor development, new connectors for electric machines and MEUI-C Fuel Systems (High vibes). The candidate will support new product development and technology selection, defining and verifying requirements, supplier CPPD, NPI and NTI project advancement, product line and production support, CPI, aftermarket, and component life-cycle management.

    This supports meeting project deliverables for a few groups
    Specifically,
    - Connectors for Battery Management System
    - BCP's Electric machine development Pacman and Taser
    - Design control of R1700 GlenAir connectors
    - Next generation A7 ECM family (A7:E3 is first)
    - MEUI-C connector
    - Validation of Surlok, PowerLok (UK) connectors on battery modules
    Typical Day As an Electrical Design Engineer on the harness components team in ICS, you will have an opportunity to direct and participate in the design and development of cost-effective, production-intent solutions to complex engineering problems. The engineer will be responsible for developing components that align with product requirements and ensure these solutions provide superior performance, reliability, durability, cost, and serviceability.

    Job Duties
    • Conceive and provide practical product design expertise to problem solving by applying complex technical principles
    • Prepare concepts, designs, and feasibility studies
    • Draft and execute development plans in concert with the timing needs of product groups
    • Within the scope of NPI workflow NPI and APQP process elements are completed
    • Act as development team lead, interacting with system teams, plant locations, suppliers and purchasing to ensure development commitments are met
    • Plan and coordinate product testing in concert with system needs
    • Coordinate supplier evaluations; production readiness reviews and facilitate other required supplier development activities
    • Apply technical expertise and product knowledge to problem resolution when interfacing with Test and Evaluation, Service, Plant personnel, suppliers and consultants

    Qualifications

    Education Requirement BS or MS Electrical Engineer
    Technical Skills Required - Min. 3 years of commensurate experience and history of progressive product leadership responsibility
    - Demonstrated knowledge of electrical engineering disciplines as they apply to component design and systems
    - Excellent analytical skills and decision quality
    - Experience coordinating supplier CPPD activities
    - Demonstrated ability to coordinate/manage complex projects
    - Familiarity with NPI workflow, APQP process requirements and EDS
    - Familiarity test instrumentation knowledge: DATK, eDAQ or other data acquisition tools
    Soft Skills Required - Exhibit strengths in teamwork, communication, good decision-making and strong work
