Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.
1. Bachelors degree in an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
2. Five (5) years experience in supporting enterprise software applications with at least one of the following: Windows Server, VMware ESX, VOIP, UNIX.
3. For candidates applying for MCSE, VMware, or NEC Univerge 3C related role, two certifications are required. Current certification is required in at least one of the following: MCSE in Windows 2008 (or higher), VMware VCP5 (or higher), or NEC UNIVERGE 3C certification. Candidates who do not currently possess more than one of these certifications must obtain the second certification within 2-years of appointment. Certifications must stay current with industry standards for continued employment.
4. For candidates applying for HP-UX related role, HP-UX CSA certification is required. Candidates who do not currently possess HP-UX CSA certification must obtain certification within 1 year of appointment. Certifications must stay current with industry standards for continued employment.
5. Thorough understanding of IT management processes like ITIL.
6. Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of enterprise hardware, software, and associated equipment.
7. Ability to work variable work hours. Available in the event of required emergency response.
8. Exemplary analytical and creative skills to find solutions to complex technical problems.
9. Friendly, clear and courteous communicator (written and oral) who enjoys being an active member of a technical team focused on providing highly valued solutions to critical business customers and technical peers at all levels, both inside and outside of DART.
10. Ability to be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services. Acts with customers in mind. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
11. Ability to pick up on technical things quickly. Can learn new skills and knowledge. Is good at learning new industry, company, product, or technical knowledge. Does well in technical courses and seminars.
12. Ability to use his/her time effectively and efficiently. Values time. Concentrates his/her efforts on the more important priorities. Gets more done in less time than others. Can attend to a broader range of activities.
